About Us

In God We Trust Development Initiative is a Community Based Organization started by Boda Riders on 14th May 2021 with the aim of promoting and improving the lives of the founders and the entire community at large. Registered on 1st December 2022 with the Directorate of Community Based Services.

Our Objectives

To build a community-based organization that will help in delivering good quality services and values through simple and relevant solutions as well as extending financial support to the community members such as in sickness, deaths, and other financial needs by 2025.

Promote the interest of saving culture initiative to the community and strengthen the capacity of men, women, and children in addressing the plight of poverty by 2025.

Implement the principle of guarding the rights of members as it is respectively set for development economically and socially by 2025

Improve livelihood through purchasing plots of land and constructing houses for 30 members of the group by 2025.

To support the group members and the community through establishing and getting involved in different business projects mainly Agriculture by 2027

Our Projects

Household Food Security:

During the COVID-19 lockdown, we started distributing essential food items like rice, sugar, soap, cooking oil, beans, groundnuts, and charcoal. This support continues to help families focus on other needs, such as education and healthcare.

Housing Project:

Initiated in 2022, this project helps mobility partners like boda boda riders and taxi drivers build their own homes. This initiative arose after many struggled to pay rent during the lockdown. Together, we’re turning the dream of home-ownership into reality.

Poultry Project:

To provide an alternative source of income, we launched a poultry project focusing on both layers and broilers. This project, primarily driven by women, helps those who cannot travel daily to their workplaces sustain their families.

Piggery Project:

Utilizing remaining land post-house construction, our members started a piggery project. This initiative supports members like those in Nakaseke District, fostering community growth and financial stability.
